Comment on the Drinking Water Supply Indicators:

Following substantial rainfall in late July, the NJDEP’s drinking-water-supply indicators experienced modest improvements since issuance of a Drought Watch for the Northeast, Northwest and Central water supply regions on July 25, 2016.  Despite the welcomed rainfall, concerns over the lingering effect of months of below-average precipitation remain. If dry weather and warmer-than-average temperatures return, conditions will likely deteriorate and bring the prospects of future drought response actions back into play.  To help avert this possibility, continued cooperation by the public to use water wisely is necessary.
